Social Skills Training

Social skills training is a key element when working with children with autism, developmental challenges, and challenging behaviors. I help children understand and improve their social skills by using available resources, engaging in meaningful discussions, and role-playing.

I empower children to put into practice the skills learned during our 1:1 meetings. Social skills training is tailored to each child’s needs. Skills may include initiating conversations, receiving and giving compliments, understanding emotions and facial expressions, understanding classroom rules and responsibilities, relating to peers, among others.
